William Dawson Catto.

​FormerFormer general practitioner Aberdeen (b 1913; q Aberdeen 1939), died from a severe stroke on 4 December 2005. After serving with the Royal Army Medical Corps in India and the Middle East during the second world war, Bill Catto became a general practitioner in the Woodside district of Aberdeen, where he lived in the practice house for 20 years. A great sportsman in his youth he became an enthusiastic if modest golfer and was the club doctor when the local football team won the European Cup in 1983. He leaves a son and two grandchildren.
