Basement Grouting Reinforcement in Deep Caisson and its Application Effect

Depending on the construction of the main caisson of the Hutong Changjiang River Bridge, the grouting technology, the widely used in the construction of cast-in-place bored pile, was applied to the reinforcement of the caisson. After grouting reinforcement, the wave velocity test and the lateral soil pressure test were done. Deep-water high-pressure waterproof self-sustained load test device was used to complete the load test in caisson. The result shows: after basement grouting, the characteristic value of side bearing capacity has been increased by more than 112.2%, and the deformation modulus and foundation coefficient increase by 836.6%. The grouting can effectively improve bearing characteristics of caissons.
