Hepatic fibrosis accompanies innevitably the evolution of chronic hepatitis. In diagnostic protocols, staging and treatment, the assessment of hepatic fibrosis is absolutely mandatory in the correct therapeutic approach. Liver biopsy is an invasive method with risks in children. Currently there are a number of non-invasive tests that offer the correct staging of fibrosis and are admitted in the therapeutic decision and monitoring of chronic hepatitis in children.
