Theoretical Analysis on Lubrication Effect of Involute Gear Transmission

2015
A model was set up to analyze involute gear transmission,More than 50 Thermoelastohydrodynamic lubrication value calculated by load and overload, lubricant viscosity of the product of the tooth surface entrainment speed are analyzed the product of the effect on contact fatigue life of gear transmission. The results showed that in the case of fixed tooth surface entrainment speed, changing the viscosity of lubricating oil,the secondary pressure peak in the medium load and heavy conditions are monotonically increasing; The position of X also decreases,in another word, move towards entrance area;Subsurface shear stress maximum load in first decreases and then increases, while they reload decreases monotonically; X position of subsurface shear stress maximum while the Medium load is in the direction toward the exit, the Z position moves to the tooth surface, whatever, the X direction of overload is gradually moving to the exit area,in the Z direction is constant within the tooth solid.
