Coordinated Generation and Transmission Expansion Planning with High Proportion of Renewable Energy

2020
In the context of a high proportion of renewable energy connected to the power system, in order to promote the consumption of renewable energy, generation planning and transmission expansion should be coordinated. Considering the generation characteristics of wind power / photovoltaic and concentrating solar power (CSP) and their influence on the power balance of the system, the coordinated generation and transmission expansion planning model is established with the minimum sum of the investment and construction cost, operation cost and penalty cost of the power system as the optimization objective. Combined with genetic algorithm and gradient algorithm, a hybrid genetic gradient algorithm (HGG) is proposed to solve the model. The effectiveness and practicability of the proposed model are verified by an example in a certain region of China.
