11-epi-azadirachtin D: an epimeric azadirachtin analogue from azadirachta indica

A new tetranortriterpene, 11-epi-azadirachtin D (1-tigloyl-3-acetyl-11 alpha-hydroxy-4 beta-methyl-meliacarpin) has been isolated from the methanolic extracts of Azadirachta indica seeds. Its structure is proposed on the basis of various spectral analyses
