El mono humanizado: la búsqueda genética de lo que nos hace humanos

2005
Since its use as an excuse to justify a kind of species-racism, the concept of human is now so inclusive that has blurred the borders between human and chimpanzee. Thanks to the advances of molecular biology, genomics and proteomics, molecular anthropology has similarly moved from being a merely descriptive, highly speculative discipline to consider facing the search for the functional mechanisms of cognition. In this work, we make an historical review of the methodology employed in the search for our humanness at the molecular level, the concepts and the most relevant findings so far.
