MARAJOARAS NA BELLE ÉPOQUE: HISTÓRIA, PATRIMÔNIOS E CONDIÇÕES DE VIDA

Analisando narrativas sobre a realidade marajoara no periodo da Belle Epoque por meio de obras raras, textos de viajantes, jornalistas e imagens fotograficas, a pesquisa busca reconstituir um pouco de como se vivia na regiao marajoara no periodo de 1870 a 1912, quando as realidades locais passavam por transformacoes devido a maior comercializacao de borracha extraida por seringueiros. Partindo da tematica do patrimonio e suas condicoes, procura-se tambem compreender como se davam as relacoes socioculturais entre diferentes grupos sociais e de que modo estava organizada a vida dos moradores de campos e florestas, sejam eles nativos ou migrantes. Constatou-se que as praticas sociais desempenhadas pelos marajoaras apreendidas de registros historicos diversos sao importantes para se compreender o escasso desenvolvimento enfrentado pelos municipios marajoaras, com destaque para a precaria condicao de vida e dificuldades na manutencao dos patrimonios materiais e imateriais na fase do “boom da borracha”.
