A reduced-order substructure system identification method
1996
Results are presented of numerical simulations used to test a proposed novel substructure system identification method, with 'noise' included in the simulated vibration test data. The simulations examine the algorithm's ability to identify valid reduced-order structural models using frequency response functions covering a limited frequency range. With simulated noisy data, the proposed algorithm identified both full- and reduced-order substructure system matrices for the test substructure. Frequency response functions for the 9-DOF simulated vibration test, as well as percent errors in elements of substructure matrices, are illustrated. (AIAA).
