Subacute lymphocytic and "painless" thyroiditis- new entities or a chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis

In the last 15 years there has been increasing evidence of an unusual type of thyroiditis, which can hardly be clasified into classic entities as are chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis Hashimoto(CLT) and subacute De Quervain thyroiditis(SAT), however, it has some characteristics of both types. A retrospective study of patients in our department analyzing cases similar to these was carried out.
