Echographie du pelvis chez le nouveau-né et le nourrisson: corrélations pré et post-natales

The increasingly frequent use of ultrasound has resulted in improved knowledge of normal pelvic anatomy and its variants. In addition, antenatal ultrasound has had many repercussions on our approach to neonatal pelvic disorders. At birth, the examination is directly inspired by the abnormality detected in-utero. The first stage in the examination consists of identifying the normal anatomic structures. A urinary abnormality is the first which must be considered in the presence of a tumoral or pseudotumoral syndrome of the pelvis. Then, depending on the mass, its site, content and anatomic relations, the possibility of genital, digestive or true tumoral abnormalities must be considered. In most cases, ultrasound provides accurate diagnosis.
