Review of the effects of fatty acids in food on the growth of infant

The growth of infant is not only the most rapid period of growth, but also very important for future health. It plays an major role in the health of the whole of life. It will lay a good foundation for the development of the physical and mental, and has a preventive effect of the diseases in the future. Fatty acids, as an essential nutrient in the daily diet, is very closely related to human health. Unscientific intake of fatty acids by infant will damage their health, and form many adverse effects on the bodys’ organs. The physiological characteristics, fat demand, fat metabolism of infant and the effect of fatty acids on the growth of infant are discussed in this view. Aims to provided some guidance of advices about scientific intake of fatty acids for infant.
