Apports de la médecine de l’avant militaire en situation préhospitalière civile

2015
Recent developments in war medical equipment could be used in civilian emergency units. Tourniquets and hemostatic gauzes, used by civilian emergency units despite strong recommandations of civilian scientist society, are not sufficient. Civilian survival blankets are ineffectual, while military practitioners use different types of highly effective survival blankets. Finally, the chest tube developed in Afghanistan by U.S. army is strongly ergonomic, very light, and could be used for autotransfusion. According to the scientific data, military medicine in civil prehospitals could be particularly useful in the management of acute trauma.
