Efficient Network Security Virtualization Scheme

A relatively new idea of network security virtualization in software-defined networking (SDN) is enhanced and presented in this paper. It virtualizes security resources for network administrators or network users, can maximally utilize existing security devices/middleboxes, and provides security to desirable networks with minimum management cost. We further enhanced the shortest path selection routing protocol where a security node is used to route generated rule. System provides the security for user by using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption algorithm. User can send security policies in encrypted form to the network. The experimental results prove that network service virtualization (NSV) secures the network environments as well as user security policies more efficiently and effectively. Also with shortest path selection through security node, the proposed system improves the time efficiency and memory utilization.
