Cellular sorting with femtoliter fluid displacement for integrated flow cytometry systems

An acousto-optical microfluidic flow cytometer featuring femtoliter fluid-displacement was demonstrated with cellular sorting efficiencies at upwards of 99% at 5 kHz frequency actuation. Simulation and validation was performed using Reynolds stress model for turbulent particle flows.
