The educational services of the archives

The educational services of the archives were created with a lot of voluntary by the archivists and only a little institutional help to bind the archives and educational institutions together and to develop educational activities especifillay orient for user in school age, in which we must keep in mind the curricular programme, the age and the type of the document. For that, is should be convenient a cooperation between the archive-educational centre based in the distinction between the archivist, who would develop the typical services of the archive, and the teacher, who would take advantage of contribution of an specialist who has a deep knowledge of the archive`s documentary hearts, to know history and the investigation´s work in the classroom. The educational service´s develop need as main premise the pupils´ contact with the archive, where they visualize, manipulate and work with the original documents. That symbiosis between the archives and the school could continue being maintained with links more and narrow between a municipal archive and an educational centre, enriching the teaching process- learning through the documental sources. For that, we must keep in mind the didactic ways, the educational proposal, the action´s fields, the material´s presentation to the student body and its external effect. The most significant appearances of the archives` educational services were given in the activities period ruined to that type of user. In this way we consider this service as a precision of the educational aspect and therefore the services only have future with the teacher – archivist and school – archives cooperation.
