Renal Effects of Bunazosin, a New αl-adrenoceptor Blocker, in Patientswith Mild-to-moderate Essential Hypertension

1990
Renal effects of 4-week fixed maitenance doses of bunazosin three times daily and propanolol were evaluated in patients with mild to moderate essential hypertension (World Health Organization stages I and II). Bunazosin produced a nonsignificant increase in renal blood flow, a significant increase in glomerular filtration rate, and a decrease in total renal vascular resistance, whereas propranolol caused no significant changes in these parameters.
