BMA secretary responds to news story

EDITOR—That your news story about the way in which I responded to a motion about staff pay at the BMA's Torquay annual representative meeting presents a partial view of the episode is not surprising.1 I was given no opportunity to explain myself at the meeting; neither did your correspondent feel it necessary to talk to me before going into print.
