How Johnson and Johnson transfers energy technology

1982
Johnson and Johnson (J and J) energy management continually seeks performance improvements that include worldwide energy technology transfers between company plants. A computerized energy reporting system allows close communications between J and J officials of the decentralized companies, which work together to share new technologies, plan energy contingencies, review regulations, and retain energy awareness among employees. A Technical Advisory Council (TAC) reviews new technologies and processes before recommending them to other facilities. Among the 42 projects TAC has or is in the process of reviewing are a Rankine-Cycle electric generator, a boiler-feedwater economizer, solar energy, high-pressure versus low-pressure sodium lighting, and a boiler-control survey.
