Crystal growth, spectroscopic and laser characterization of Nd: CSB crystals

Abstract Neodymium-doped cerium scandium borate (Nd: CSB) crystals of trigonal structure have been grown for the first time and were investigated for their dispersion, spectroscopic, nonlinear and laser properties. Self-frequency doubling was demonstrated under diode pumping.
