Facile and Efficient Nanofabrication of Brown Graphene Quantum Dots

Asimplisticprocess for nanofabrication of functionalized graphene quantum dots(GQDs) with the attached carboxyl group using graphite flakes (300 meshes) as a raw material is presented here in this paper. The synthesized graphene quantum dots showed light brown fluorescence under the ultraviolet irradiation. The characterization of functionalized graphene quantum dots was done using UV/Visible-Spectrophotometer, PL-Spectroscope FTIR spectrophotometer.
