Method of quick bit-plane electronic image stabilization based on FPGA (field programmable gate array) platform

2013
The invention aims to provide a method of quick bit-plane electronic image stabilization based on an FPGA (field programmable gate array) platform. The method includes: firstly, subjecting video data streams to Ping-Pong buffering, directly extracting bitmaps and storing the bitmaps in byte; secondly, performing cyclic matching by fast bit-plane block matching algorithm to determine motion vectors of global adjacent frames, and performing average filtering to obtain video jitter vectors; and thirdly, compensating the random video jitter vectors and outputting stable video sequences. The method is higher in processing parallelism of image stabilization algorithm, consumption of storage space is lowered by means of bit-plane extraction, greatly jittering images can also be accurately stabilized, and real-time image stabilization can be achieved for ultrahigh-definition videos.
