Compensation element for pulling and pushing rod

This invention concerns a compensating element for a pulling and pressing rod (1), such as is found in motor vehicle transmissions between the gear shift lever and the gear unit. A spring (4) is provided for achieving continuous longitudinal compensation which directly or indirectly effects a clamping between the pulling and pressing rod (1) and the housing of the compensating element or a connecting member (6).
