A Regional Assessment of Water Resources Development Costs in Victorian River Basins
1986
Storage yields are estimated at possible damsites in a river basin using an equation relating regulated streamflow or draft to storage capacity and the coefficient of variation of annual flows. Storage construction costs are estimated using a simple linear relationship derived from past dam construction costs. The equivalent annual cost of potential surface water development in Victoria's River Basins is plotted in the form of incremental cost graphs.
