EDITOR,—Andrew D Shaw and colleagues emphasise the urgent need for orthopaedic referral for the underlying problem of the compartment syndrome —namely, impending muscle necrosis.1 They do not mention the role of adjuvant hyperbaric oxygen in this condition.
