Coelambus discedens SHARP 1882 is the second member of the Hydroporus toAw/'-group! (Coleoptera, Dytiscidae)

Coelambus discedens SHARP 1882, has been found to belong to the tokui-group of Hydroporus CLAIRVILLE 1806. In addition to a new combination a replacement name has to be chosen, because the name is preoccupied by Hydroporus discedens REGIMBART 1877. This Chinese species is renamed Hydroporus hygrotoides nom.n., comb.n. due to its resemblance to some Hygrotus species.
