The study for the expression of hepatocyte growth factor receptor in the serum and tissues in patients with hepatic carcinoma

2012
Objective: To study the expression of hepatocyte growth factor receptor(c-Met) in the serum and tissues in patients with hepatic carcinoma, explore the role of c-Met in the tumorigenesis and progression of human hepatic carcinoma. Methods: Study the patients with hepatic carcinoma or hepatitis, and establish normal control group, measure the plasma c-Met concentrations in them by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The expression of c-Met mRNA and protein were detected in liver tissue of them by using semi-quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) and immunohistochemistry respectively. Results: The plasma c-Met concentrations in patients with hepatic carcinoma was higher than those in hepatitis and normal control group(P0.05).The expression level of c-Met in hepatic carcinoma was higher than those in hepatitis and normal hepatic tissue(P0.05).Conclusion: The expression of c-Met in the serum and tissues in pationts with hepatic carcinoma was high,c-Met may be involved in the tumorigenesis and progression of hepatic carcinoma.
