STUDI KELAYAKAN KUALITAS AIR UNTUK KAWASAN BUDIDAYA Eucheuma cottonii Doty BERDASARKAN ASPEK FISIKA, KIMIA DAN BIOLOGI DI KECAMATAN MALANGKE KABUPATEN LUWU UTARA

The research about expedienceof of water quality for the species of red algae Eucheuma cottonii Doty cultivation area in District Malangke, North Luwu on January 2017. The purpose of this study is to know the condition of the algae cultivation areas based on aspects of physics, chemistry and biology in the waters of the District Malangke. The research method is collecting primary data of physical, chemical and biological parameters in the field. Two data collection sites are station I in Tokke village and station II in Benteng village. Determination of algae cultivation location is done by arranging matrix of conformity based on scoring and weighting. The study shows the range of values: a) physical parameters consist of: (1) the depth of 4 m 19 m, (2) the brightness of 4 m 6.25 m, (3) 30 oC- water temperature 34 ° C, (4) salinity waters 29 ppt- 34 ppt, (5) has a water dasra material types include: mud and sand, (6) the current speed of 1.7 m / s- 6.1 m / s, (7) 45.865 mg suspended solids charge / l- 80.255 mg / l. b) Chemical parameters consist of: (1) the dissolved oxygen ppt- 4.8 7.1 ppm, (2) 8,1- pH 8.4, (3) phosphate 0.004 mg / l 0.0105 mg / l, (4) nitrate 0,009- mg / l 0.199 mg / l. c) Biological parameters consist of: (1) the abundance of phytoplankton 27 725 cells / l 48 390 cells / l and (2) of chlorophyll-a 0.077 mg / l 0.186 mg / l. The results showed that the first station located in the village Tokke included in the category of reasonably fit, while the second station located in the village Benteng belongs to the category is not appropriate for the cultivation of algae Eucheuma cottonii Doty.
