Learning? A primer on teaching science and engineering

2015
Teaching is the subject of many books. Learning is the core of teaching. You teach, you hope they learn. In the past few years, a lot of discussions, books, articles have been presented on the subject. However, very few focus on teaching and learning to science and engineering students. Teaching to adults is not the same as teaching to children or teenagers. Teaching and evaluating mathematics, sciences and engineering courses is different than doing the same to humanities. In this book, the concepts of teaching and learning are presented from the point of view of an engineering lecturer who has been involved in teaching to both general sciences and engineering students since 2003. The book is written in the form of an informal discussion, outlying tricks to do and traps to avoid. It is build to help both the new comers in teaching and the experienced lecturer looking for a new point of view.
