Research on Knowledge Service Models in Digital Library

In order to provide better knowledge service for teachers and students in colleges and universities, this paper discusses about the future models of knowledge service in digital library. By adopting the methods of comparison and analysis, comparative analysis of the concept of digital library, knowledge service and the knowledge service in digital library, and analysis their characteristics too. The final results indicate that developing knowledge service under the background of digital library is an innovation and development of traditional information service. Knowledge service in digital library has its unique characteristics: (1) Knowledge service is centered by the consumer with the aim of consumer satisfaction, (2) It aims at providing strategies for solving problems and is going through the whole process, (3) It is around the knowledge information appreciation and innovation target, (4) It is personalized and customized service. The future models of the knowledge service in digital library are knowledge-oriented service models and problem-oriented service models.
