The invention relates to a method and a system for establishing self-initiated games. The method comprises the step that: a development platform integrated in game clients sends a task for establishing a self-initiated world to a central control server through a proxy server; and the central control server generates self-initiated world data based on the task for establishing the self-initiated world. The method and the system for establishing self-initiated games provided in the invention can carry out orderly storage, management and maintenance for a large amount of game data used by the game players for developing games and a large amount of game data generated after the game players develop the games; the game players can establish autonomously the new personalized self-initiated world through the development platform and edit various contents in the self-initiated world such as game scenes, characters, monsters, NPC, tasks, skills and the like.
