Miocardiopatía dilatada por infección del virus Coxsackie B en paciente inmunocompetente

2014
The diagnosis of dilated cardiomyopathy requires tests of dilation and impaired contraction of left ventricular or both ventricles. It is considered idiopathic primary and secondary causes of heart disease (e.g., myocarditis and coronary artery disease) were excluded from the assessment including history and physical examination, laboratory tests, coronary angiography (to exclude > 50% obstruction of one or more coronary arteries), echocardiography and endomyocardial biopsy when indicated. Among the causes of myocarditis is infection by enteroviruses, particularly coxsackievirus in human myocarditis.
