Studied was the effectiveness of nebulizer inhalation of the immunomodulator Derinat in non-smoking patients with exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease stage II. Established was a significant increase in respiratory function inspiratory capacity, reduction in the adhesion molecules ICAM-1 and ICAM-3, nitric oxide metabolites in exhaled breath condensate and reduction in the concentration of IL-8 in the circulation of patients who received the inhalation form of Derinat.
