The Key Technologies and Applications of Cable Corridor Resource Management and Monitoring Based on GIS and IoT

According to the data analysis of breakdowns and repairs, the problems including high failure rate, long repair time, and high cost of repair and power failure of distribution network cable have been found. To solve the problems and strengthen the monitoring and management of underground cable corridors, a cable corridor resource management and monitoring system based on GIS and IoT was proposed in this paper. Firstly, the current status of large cable corridor equipment, imperfect basic data management, and high failure rate were analyzed through historical statistical data. Second, the overall architecture of the cable corridor resource management and monitoring system was described. And the key technologies including the corridor resource management based on GIS, underground path identification based on RFID, cable and environmental monitoring based on IoT, on-site operation management and control based on App, etc. were presented. Finally, the application results of the system construction were summarized.
