Effect of Foliar Fertilizer During Vegetative Stage on Growth and Quality of Bromeliaceae

The experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of different concentrations of foliar fertilizer during vegetative stage on the growth and quality of Guzmania Denise.The results showed that when the EC value of fertilizer was in range of 1.2～1.6 mS/cm,the contents of chlorophyll,nitrogen and phosphorus elements and soluble sugar in leaves and roots,and root vigor maintained at high levels.The fertilizer at 1.2～1.6 mS/cm EC was the most beneficial to the biomass accumulation of Bromeliaceae.The plants growed luxuriantly with better ornamental characteristics,leaves was dark green,and the incidence of diseases occured rarely.These results suggest that the fertilizer during vegetative stage at 1.2～1.6 mS/cm EC was the most beneficial to the growth of Guzmania Denise.
