P-218L: Late-News Poster: Antimicrobial Coatings That Prevent Bacterial Growth On Touchscreens

This paper describes antimicrobial properties of novel, transparent polymeric coatings applied to glass. A 3-log reduction in viable bacterial population within 24 hours was observed. The method of application to various glass surfaces -polished, antiglare coated and sol-gel fired, is demonstrated.
