Marine engine room monitoring and alarming system with redundant CAN (control area network) bus

2011
The invention designs a novel marine engine room monitoring and alarming system with a redundant CAN (control area network) bus. The system comprises an on-site analog quantity acquisition module, an on-site digital quantity acquisition module, a communication network, a network protocol converter and an alarming unit. The on-site analog quantity acquisition module uses a modular design method, and is used for acquiring analog quantity parameters of devices in operation in the marine engine room, wherein the acquisition process comprises common measurements of analog quantity signals commonly used in the industry, such as the measurement of analog voltage signals, the measurement of 4-20 mA current signals, and the like; the on-site digital quantity acquisition module also uses the modular design method, and is used for acquiring digital quantity parameters of the devices in operation in the marine engine room, wherein the acquisition process comprises common measurements of the digital quantity commonly used in the industry, such as the measurement of a digital switch value, the measurement of a digital pulse value, and the like; the communication network is designed into a redundant CAN bus network to ensure the reliable transmission of data; the network protocol converter is used for solving quantity limitation on CAN nodes, and an RS458 network can be used for expansion under the CAN nodes; and the alarming unit is used for providing alarming signals in time according to abnormality of the parameters of the devices in operation.
