Microwave-assisted Extraction of Platycodin D in Platycodon grandiflorum(Jacq.) A.DC.

A microwave-assisted extraction procedure was developed for platycodin D in Chinese herbal medicine Platycodon grandiflorum(Jacq.) A.DC.High performance liquid chromatography(HPLC-PDA) was employed to determine the content of platycodin D.The optimum extraction conditions were:m(solid)∶m(liquid)=1∶20,volume fraction of solvent 20%,microwave power 600 W;extraction time 110 s,particle size of sample 80～100 mesh and extraction temperature 60 ℃.The extraction rate of platycodin D reached 3.87 mg/g.In our paper,a comparative study of the different results between MAE,UAE and reflux extraction was investigated.
