A CASE OF PERITONEAL LYMPH NODE METASTASIS OF LUNG CANCER WHICH WAS FOUND BY GASTRECTOMY FOR EARLY GASTRIC CANCER

We report a case of peritoneal lymph node metastases from lung cancer which were found by gastrectomy for gastric cancer, together with a review of the literature. A 62-year-old man who underwent left lower lobectomy of lung for left lung cancer (S8) 1.5 years ago visited with epigastric pain. Alimentary examination and gastric endoscopy biopsy revealed a gastric cancer. In operation a 3.0×2.4cm lesion in IIc was found on the lesser curvature-side in resion A. Histologically it was poorly defferentiated adenocarcinoma partially coexisting with Signet-ring cells with depth of m. Almost all regional lymphnodes excised contained metastatic lesions which were highly defferentiated adenocarcinoma unlike the gastric cancer cells. On the other hand, histologic type of the lung cancer was highly differentiated adenocarcinoma, and CT, echography, and Ga scintigraphy revealed no circuratory metastasis, hence in this case, lymph metastases from lung cancer ot peritoneal lymph nodes might occur.
