A preparation of α-Gal A human glycosylated having an oligosaccharide charge increased, wherein between 35% and 85% of the oligosaccharides are charged by addition of: (i) one to four sialic acid residues on complex glycans (ii) one to two phosphate moieties on high-mannose glycans, or (iii) a single phosphate and a single sialic acid on hybrid glycans for use in the treatment of deficiency of α-Gal a to a weekly dose or biweekly between 0.05 mg to 5.0 mg of α-preparation Gal a per kg body weight of a subject.
