ANDI and African Health Innovation

This chapter provides detailed information on the work of ANDI, African Network for Drugs and Diagnostics Innovation, as an African-led organization, the processes that went into ANDI’s establishment, its stakeholders, its governance, its portfolio of Rskampskamp;D projects and initiatives, and its challenges. It also draws from the work of other organizations and sheds light on the opportunities to be harnessed and the challenges to be addressed to create a sustainable platform for innovation in Africa, consistent with the concept of boosting social innovation. The importance of sharing both positive and negative lessons or successes and failures across organizations is emphasized.
