The purpose with this report is to identify the key-factors for success that needs to be taken into account when leading a semi-virtual team. We define a semi-virtual team as a hybrid between local- and virtual tams. We have conducted our empirical research on a complex global industrial organization, with it’s headquarter in Sweden. The by us used theoretical framework defines what keyfactors for success should be taken into account when managing a semi-virtual team. We then compare the theoretical keyfactors for success with our empirical findings, and will by this be able to see if the theoretical are supported in our empirical findings. Se can conclude that our identified keyfactors for success are fully supported by our empricial findings, and we have also identified som additional findings. All teammembers needs to communicate in the same way; virtual. Ice-breakers and establishing of personal realtions between both local- and virtual teammembers are important. Ensure that informal communicaiton are possible, with focus between the virtual teammembers. Managing sub-groups in the team, and ensure tha the learning is taken care of. Teammanager has the possility to affect the competens and charactaristics of the teammembers.
