Пути улучшения результатов лечения больных механической желтухой

The article gives the analysis of diagnostic and tactical mistakes made at each level of medical assistance to 820 patients with obstructive jaundice. The mistakes were observed in rates: 143 cases (17,1%) at pre-hospitalization stage; 105 cases (12,8%) at hospitalization including 53 cases (30,3%) observed at both stages. As a result of the research the main reasons of diagnostic and tactical mistakes were presented. The ways of overcoming these mistakes were defined by means of using the most rational treatment methods. The choice of the way of decompression of bile vessels as first stage of treating the Syndrome of Mechanical Jaundice (SMJ) is of particular importance.
