The invention discloses a cold regenerator lifting mechanism and a control method thereof. The mechanism comprises a vehicle frame, connecting rods, lifting arms and rotors, wherein the connecting rods, the lifting arms and the rotors are symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the vehicle frame. The connecting rods are connected with the tail ends of the lifting arms. The front ends of the lifting arms are hinged to the vehicle frame and can rotate around hinging points. The tail ends of the lifting arms are connected with the rotors. The lifting arms are provided with rotating systems to drive the rotors to run. Oil cylinders, sliding ways and sliding blocks are further symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the vehicle frame. The sliding blocks are installed in the sliding ways. One end of each sliding block is connected with the corresponding oil cylinder, and the other end of each sliding block is connected with the corresponding connecting rod. Built-in displacement sensors are installed in the oil cylinders, simulation signals of the working depths are sent to a controller through a working depth feedback module. The controller controls the oil cylinders to stretch and retract through electro-hydraulic proportional valves. By the adoption of the cold regenerator lifting mechanism, the counter acting force for rotor cutting can be effectively reduced, and the service life of the oil cylinders is prolonged; and an automatic working depth adjusting mode is added to the control method on the basis of traditional manual control, so that operation is more convenient, and the working depth accuracy is further guaranteed.
