Laminar Boundary Layers in Turbulent Flows

Flat plate laminar boundary layers were studied under the effect of the free stream turbulence whose intensity was changed from 0.05% to 3%. It is shown that two kinds of the nonstationary motion with strongly different lateral scales determine the structure of boundary layers.
