This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of Juraj Herz's film The Cremator (1968). It´s main methodological basis is neoformalist approach by Kristin Thompson and David Bordwell. Thesis is divided into three parts. The first part explains basic methods of the analysis. The second part of the thesis deals with cultural and historical context of making the film, works of Juraj Herz and the reactions to the film. The last part focuses on the analysis itself, while it includes two parts: narratological analysis and stylistic analysis.
