Syntheses of New Controlled Release Polymeric Fungicides Containing Diniconazole

2005
A method for preparing novel, biodegradable fungicide-polymers containing Diniconazole ((E)-(±)-1-(2,4- dichlorophenyl)-2-(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-4,4-dimethyl-1-penten-3-ol) by reacting an isocyanate derivative of Diniconazole with polyvinyl alcohol was investigated, and a novel pesticide-polymer system in which the pesticide is chemically bonded to the polymer was obtained. The polymeric fungicide would release the active agent in a reasonable amount, by the processes of hydrolysis and/or bio-degradation. Its biochemical performance was coincidental with Diniconazole in the applied medium, measured by the prime biochemical test and its bioactive would last for at least 30 days.
