Reaction and total cross-sections for low-energy pi+ and pi- on isospin zero nuclei

Reaction and total cross sections for {pi}{sup +} and {pi}{sup {minus}} on targets of {sup 2}H, {sup 6}Li, C, Al, Si, S, and Ca have been measured for beam energies from 42 to 65 MeV. The cross sections are proportional to the target mass at 50 MeV, consistent with transparency to these projectiles.
