Los estudios sobre la socialización organizacional de los directores escolares noveles: objetos, objetivos, hallazgos

Objective: The research aims at characterizing the studies related to the organizational socialization of novice school principals, in the international context, considering the objects they address, their objectives and main findings. Methods: A theoretical systematization was carried out supported by the documentary review and the qualitative content analysis, which provided the elements for the analysis-synthesis and the induction-deduction, theoretical methods of educational research that, in turn, allowed to achieve the aims of the investigation. Results: The main finding is a description of the international experience and characteristic features of beginning school principals’ organizational socialization. Former studies were group into to three main addressed objects (diagnostic studies, proposals aimed at training and experiences related to processes), to which their objectives and the findings are associated. Conclusion: The studies related to the organizational socialization of novice school principals show a progressive growth in the last five years. Its intention has been focused, basically, on characterizing managers’ performance experience in recent years, it has progressively shifted towards the planning intervention proposals to enhance their training and, to a lesser extent, to related proposals to personnel management processes.
