Medical Therapy of Peyronie's Disease

2014
Oral and intralesional medical therapies have been studied extensively in the treatment of Peyronie's Disease (PD). While there are no FDA approved oral therapies, pentoxifylline, colchicine, potassium aminobenzoate and co-enzyme Q10 all have some level of supportive evidence. Intralesional injections including collagenase clostridium histolytica (CCH), interferon α-2b, and to a lesser degree verapamil have also been investigated and found to have different levels of documented benefit. Mechanical traction has limited efficacy as an adjunct to these therapies.
